Indian Numbers for WhatsApp, Telegram, Google and More
Each temporary number is for one app's OTP. Numbers cost from $0.50 (higher-quality ones up to $2.00), and other apps are priced about the same; the panel lists the price first.

Indian number for WhatsApp
What most people want an Indian number for: a +91 number for a second WhatsApp account or WhatsApp Business, or for an Indian WhatsApp while you live abroad. WhatsApp's 6-digit code comes to your Bitcall panel.
Gmail and YouTube ask for a phone number at sign-up, or when they see something unusual. Give Google a +91 number and copy the G- code from your panel.
The same +91 numbers take OTPs from ChatGPT, Instagram, Facebook, Discord, Amazon and X. They're priced about the same, and the panel lists each price.
A few things about +91 numbers that decide whether an OTP reaches you, and where a virtual number stops.

Jio, Airtel or Vi: the digits won't tell you
With number portability, an Indian number keeps its digits when it moves between Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL, so the first digits no longer show the operator. Apps only check that it's an Indian mobile number that can receive SMS.
OTPs go through the DLT check
Business SMS in India, OTPs included, goes through the operators' DLT system: the sender name and the message template are registered in advance and checked against each text. That's why OTPs come from a sender name like VM-ABCDEF-S, not from a phone number.
Where a virtual number stops: UPI
UPI payment apps bind to the SIM in your phone: to set up, the app sends an SMS from your own number. A number in an online panel can't send that SMS, so keep your own SIM for UPI and banking.
Why a fake Indian number never gets the OTP
"Fake number and verify code" sites either make up digits or share one public inbox. A made-up number, if it exists at all, belongs to someone else, so the OTP goes to them. A shared inbox shows your OTP to everyone.

Why Some Indian Numbers Don't Get the OTP
When an OTP doesn't arrive, the number is more often the problem than the app.

Landline and internet numbers
Apps send OTPs to mobile numbers. Internet (VoIP) and landline numbers are refused, or the SMS never arrives. Bitcall's WhatsApp and Telegram numbers are real mobile SIM numbers.

Free "temporary number India" sites
Free sites show the same few +91 numbers to everyone and post every OTP in public. Anyone can read your code, and apps block those numbers quickly.

A number that's back in use
A temporary number goes back into use after your order, so an OTP sent months later can't reach you. For an account you keep, rent a Long-term Number and turn on the app's own PIN or recovery email.

Verify Once, or Keep Your Indian Number
Apps send a new OTP when you log in on a new phone or reinstall. By then a temporary number is gone; a Long-term Number isn't.

How it works
How to Get an Indian Number for WhatsApp or OTP
From sign-up to a verified account in a few minutes, in India or abroad.
No Aadhaar, no KYC: an email address opens the account. Add balance by card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or crypto.
Choose WhatsApp, Telegram, Google or another app, and India, for a temporary number. To keep a number, rent one in the Long-term Number tab.
Choose India (+91) in the app's country list, type the ten digits without a leading 0, and ask for the OTP by SMS.
Your Bitcall panel shows the OTP as it arrives. Paste it into the app to finish.
No Aadhaar, no KYC: an email address opens the account. Add balance by card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or crypto.

What each message means and what to do about it.
What you see
Why it happens
What to do
The OTP never arrives
Some apps take a while to send it, and some don't accept every number.
Give the timer a minute, then request the OTP again. No OTP by the end of the order means the reserved amount returns to your balance, and you can order a fresh number.
"Invalid mobile number"
The country isn't set to India (+91), the number was typed with a leading 0, or the app doesn't take that kind of number.
Select India (+91), enter the ten digits only, then try another number if it's still refused.
The OTP won't come while you're outside India
Your connection and the number are in different countries.
Before you ask for the OTP, turn on a VPN set to India, as the Bitcall panel advises.
"Too many attempts, try later"
The app saw several OTP requests or wrong entries for this number.
Don't keep retrying the same number: wait out the block or order another.
The app wants to call you
When its SMS is late, the app offers a voice call.
Choose SMS again: Bitcall numbers show texts in the panel; they don't take calls.
A new OTP weeks after sign-up
You changed phones, reinstalled, or the app ran a security check.
Only a number you still hold can receive it: rent a Long-term Number for any account you mean to keep.
A UPI or bank app won't set up
UPI binds to the SIM in your phone: the app has to send an SMS from that number.
Use your own SIM for UPI and banking. Bitcall numbers are for receiving codes.

Questions About Indian Numbers for WhatsApp and OTP
What people ask most about a temporary Indian number for OTP: WhatsApp, whether it's allowed, fake and free numbers, KYC, using it from abroad, prices and what it can't do.
Straight answers before you buy
Sign up at Bitcall with your email, top up, and order a temporary Indian number for WhatsApp in the panel. Enter it in WhatsApp with India (+91) selected, and the 6-digit code shows up in your panel, usually within seconds. More on numbers for WhatsApp.
You can use a second number to receive an OTP if you follow the app's terms. What's never allowed is using any number for fraud or to get round an app's rules, and Bitcall does not support spam, fraud or bulk sign-ups. For an account you'll keep, rent the number so it stays yours.
No. "Fake number and verify code" sites give you a made-up or public number: either the OTP never comes, or everyone can read it. A Bitcall number is a working +91 number, and while it's yours, no other customer can read its messages.
Free receive-SMS sites list a few +91 numbers, but every OTP on them is public and apps block those numbers fast. Bitcall's WhatsApp numbers start at $0.50, and a temporary number costs nothing if the OTP never arrives.
No. You sign up with an email address only: no Aadhaar, PAN or ID check. Top up by card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or crypto.
Yes. The number works from anywhere: register WhatsApp or another app on it from the US, the Gulf or Europe. To keep that account for long, rent the number so later OTPs reach you. Your existing Indian SIM number can't be moved to Bitcall.
Not a temporary number: it's ordered for one app, so order one per app. A Long-term Number is rented by country and term, not by app, so while it's yours you can use it for the apps you need. It receives SMS only, up to 25 a day, and renews only if you turn on auto-renew on a number that can be extended.
A temporary Indian number for WhatsApp, Telegram or Google starts at $0.50, rising to $2.00 for higher-quality ones, and other apps are priced about the same; the panel shows the price before you order. You top up and pay per number, with no subscription; Long-term Numbers are priced by the term you pick. Developers can order numbers through the OTP API.
An OTP sent by SMS reaches it like any phone and shows in your panel. What can't work is setting up UPI or a bank app that binds to your SIM: those apps send an SMS from your own phone, so use your own SIM for them.
